I'm 21, I've never gone on any dates, except for the prom. I'm starting to feel like I'm really missing out on a lot of stuff. A collegue gave me an ultimatim. By Wednesday I have to at least approach someone and asked if they'd like to hang out, on campus preferably at the cafeteria. I was brought up very conservatively. I don't like drinking or partying. The last time I tried to ask someone out the person ended up being taken and it didn't end very prettyly. I'm still a little haunted by it. How do I do this?

Your colleague is pushing you, and you seem to have a full, responsible life already; why complicate it further? You are not shy to act when you're ready, just trust your own heart, and do not fall for the peer pressure/dare. People in college, missing out on stuff? I don't think so. I saw some folk music duo at UCR in the mid 1960's, and it put me in a room of mellow people, for the first time. So participate in what you have an interest, not chase down someone for a quick date. Your life has been unfolding very well all along, why trash it up?

next time is not like the last time unless you think it will be! the more comfort zones you break the easier it will be to handle situations that might not be in your favour to start with then it will be normal. you don't have to do anything either, being alone is not bad sometimes you do more enjoyable things when you are alone like reading a book or a walk, even cooking for your self there are lot of things we do alone that are very enjoyable.there is nothing wrong with not being with some one but you can look in your self and see what is the reason that it might be keeping you from doing what you really like to do,if your intention is to find some one but you can not approach people then just do it, approach and there are lot of people out there who will be happy to have a Friend like you .

I dated 2 adult men who have been shorter way shorter than me (i'm incredibly tall). One lasted a 365 days and the different 2 years. You do get stares and individuals have had evaluations approximately it. yet I never cared and you may desire to not the two :) if she makes you happy that would desire to be all that concerns
