What would happen in 2 batteries in series push in opposite directions? Thanks

If the batteries have exactly same voltages and same internal resistances, the net voltage and the net current will be zero, but in practice this is rarely the case.

Each battery can be represented as series of ideal voltage source and its internal resistance. If two such batteries are connected in series their voltages are added up and their resistances are added up. If batteries are connected opposite their voltages subtract while resistances add up. Therefore, if they have the same voltages they will cancel out irrespective of their resistances.
