"affected". And that's almost impossible to answer. Everyone there was affected, as were their families. The entire United States was affected, because it brought us into the war. And the citizens of other countries involved in WWII were affected, because it brought us into the war, and probably changed the outcome.

Over 2,400 American were killed during the Pearl Harbor attack. The Japanese lost 20-30 people to downed aircraft and destroyed submarines.

It's pretty well impossible to put it in terms of people. How about if I put it in terms of nations. Japan. The U.S.
Australia. Almost all the island from Australia up through the South Pacific to Japan. Singapore. Great Britain.
Malaysia. China. Korea. Canada. At least these.

The whole world was in the end. All of the U.S. or almost all of us wanted to go to war after the attack. Because of that, we entered the second world war and helped the allies win. I'm terrified to think of what would have happened if we hadn't.

the entire nationbefore pearl harbor we had this feeling that as long as we wher ahead on mexico and canada we wher safe but japan showed us that simeone could come across an entire ocean and hurt us good

Pretty much the rest of the world, who weren't already involved in WWII (i.e. Europeans, North Africans, Russians).
