A tap on the legs is fair enough for a small child who throws a tantrum in a supermarket, but as they get older their antics can be a tad more serious....My brothers 14yr old son got caught trying to steal a neighbours car. No charges have been brought by the police. We were wondering if we should round up a group of mates from the pub, get him in a room and give him a kicking he wont forget and may learn a lesson from it. We are prepared to take the risk of permanent brain damage and any physical deformity that may be resultant from this.

I'm all for beating that as.s if its necessary. I got mine a few times growing up and it didn't hurt me a bit. And my son is 13 and a few months ago I had to smack him in the mouth for being the smartas.s he so loves being. I remember my mother telling me that I would never be too old for her to give me a good lashing if I needed it. As for your nephew, sounds like a plan. Or better still would be to talk to the police and set up some sort of "arrest" and let him spend the night in jail. Give him something to really think about....

NOO!!! Even though he was an idiot and tried to steal a car
that does not mean you can beat the kid. Just make him clean
the house from front to back and take the trash out for the next
2 months that should teach him to behave. Or if you have some
yard work too that needs doing. Anything you think he wouldn't
enjoy doing is fair game to teach him a lesson. Got neighbors
that need lawns mowed? Make him work out his punishment.

Maybe if more people thought like you, there wouldn't be so many horrible 14 year olds! Why haven't the police brought any charges for God sake? All we listen to is them moaning about the youth of today but it's kids knowing they can get away with it that make them do things like this! Good luck! But be warned, you'll probably be charged by the police!!!!!

well... he might get taken away by child services and you might get arrested. i suggest you take away all forms of his communication to the outside world, ground him and make him stay in his room all day. the only thing he can do is watch tv from 6-8 pm and then it's lights out. *my parents did this to me... i was miserable.......* if that doesn't work, take him out of school, and make him do a homeschooling program so he has no friends left. that's a better punishment, rather than get physical, a punishment that allows no mental stimulation for someone is far worse. good luck

thats a good idea, use bassball bats and/or lead pipes for maximum damage, and to avoid getting into trouble by causing brain damage, just hit him below the head,go for knees and elbows, the groin area and kidneys
hope this helps, now go get him!!!
