I think its a reasonable DIY job for the shade tree mechanic. The problem you might run into is if any of the bolts and connections are rusty. This can make it a pain and not worth the trouble of just having a garage install it for you. Regular tools should work and you need jackstands or ramps. Don't work under the car unless the wheels are blocked and its supported on jacks. Don't rely on a hydralic or lifting jacks as the sole support. If these fail, your could be stuck or hurt.

Its not to hard just keep measuring the right way in the inside and outside diameter of the pipe, sometimes those kits are not made for the specific vehicle just be careful and very patient you will probably need a welder to do it right if you take it to a garage at least you will have some type of warranty just ask the shop

Any time you mess with the exhaust, it is a diry job. So consider that in your decision. If it's only a muffler, you may get by with a hammer and a chisel, and a hacksaw. Once you get into the job, you may wish you'd have gotten a muffler shop to do it. It won't take them long to do with the right tools. Your call. But it would be worth it to see the repairman.

A kit can be easy to install if you don't have to bend any tubes. Sometimes kits will bolt right on to factory headers but I would caution that sometimes though it requires bending tubes to get through troublesome areas and this requires special tools. But at worst case you can always get help if you get bogged down. So I would say go for it.

It depends on if you have all the right equipment, If you have access to a complete garage and tools it is fairly easy. Without proper equipment i would highly recommend you but out some cash and have it done professionally

If you do not have access to a torch, do not attempt it!
Most of the time you will need to heat parts of the exhaust to remove them. Some pipes are welded and you have to cut them to get them out.
Suggest calling a muffler shop and ask for a quote to install your parts.

It will need to be profesionally installed or it will not last long, you need a pipe bender and a welder to do it right.
