How long did you stay in contact with them if you even did?

Same girl I spoke of earlier..She moved away, then I did too.Didn't speak to each other for years.Then I was working at this job and they hired her too and I didn't know about it until she she showed up in uniform one day..Great reunion..

I moved away from my best friend when I was 11. Her and I wrote each other letters at least once a week for about a year and a half, and slowly lost contact after that. We talked on AIM off and on throughout the beginning of high school, but I haven't had any contact with her in at least 2 years now.

Actually I was the one that moved away, and we stayed in touch for several years. There was even a time a couple of years later that she and her parents were on a trip, and came through town and called. My mom took me to have lunch with them, and it was great! But I never heard from her again.

When I was 10 years old we moved from the town I lived in to the town I still live in 32 years later,and I was the best friend that moved away,from allot of friends,and I still think about them.I ran into one at the store in the town I live in ,she remembered me,I was 28 at the time and had not seen her since I was 10 anyway she said I have to tell you I will never forget the B'D party's you used to have!!! They were the best!!Do you know how good that made me feel?I always thought they were incredible,but hey,I live in la la land so to have some validation and know that it wasn't all in my head,made me feel,pretty special.

yeah she moved out of the country but then we moved too i was little so only ended up keeping up through 2 emails and she came back to visit once.
but SHOCKER- right now i am in isral where she moved even the same city and havent called or seen her yet! strange but i guess 10 yrs is a long time!

i had to move away from a best friend twice.
in grade school i moved away from my best friend and only kept in contact with her for about 6 months afterwards.
then at the new place, i became best friends with another girl and kept in contact with her through the internet. i tell you, the internet is a lifesaver!

yes. when i was seven, my best friend was twelve. she lived on the end of my street, and we were so close. she moved away and left me all alone! i never spoke to her ever again. i miss her. and then when i was 12, my best friend moved away to new york. but we still spoke. she moved back a few years later though. but when i was 13, my best friend moved away, but only like 10 miles away. we're still best friends.

I was the one that moved.
But yes, she and I stayed in touch our whole lives until she passed away when we were 25. She had a heart transplant when we were teenagers and so after that, we cherished our time together.
She was my oldest daughter's Godmother too.
Dang, I miss her so badly still...

Yes. She never wrote me, but used the address book I made for her to keep in contact with other people. Burn! LOL.
