The Sock Monster take on all kinds of forms, one day he/she can look like a dust bunny and the next something totally different.... He/she travels faster than the speed of light and can steal billions of sock each and every day....

He only steals loner socks. See I got clever a long time ago and started keeping my socks in a ball when I take them off. That way when I wash, I know they are together.
It also narrows the search for the sock monster, because if I lose one in between the washer and dryer, then I know where to find him and the hunt is on.

I haven't seen that little booger but I know he has been here.
Him and his cousin the Silverware monster. I was almost
out of forks for a while then I bought a new set of silverware.
Now watch all my forks are going to show up and my spoons
