The Sunnis might cave in if we stopped helping them kill Shiites.
The Shiites might cave in if we stopped helping them kill Sunnis.
Pulling our troops out would accomplish both simultaneously.

Not the kind we have been doing on Cuba for the last 46 years. Iran has more internal resources than Cuba, therefore how long would we have to embargo/sanction them?

you have to take sanctions slowly...
according to the U.N.
you slowly adopt resolutions lightly sanctioning them until you have no other choice but to use harsher ones...
dont know why but thats the way they do it...
