Even though Srilanka is brimming with confidence after their recent victories, still I think the Kangaroos are the hot favorites to retain the world cup and to score a hat trick of wins in the world cup finals, because
(1) The Aussies have a psychological advantage the Srilankans because of their crushing victory when the two teams met in the super8 league match.
(2) Srilanka can not match the professionalism and flamboyance of the Australia because of the master technician John Buchanan.
(3) Australia enjoys superiority over the Lankans in all the three departments of the game ie, batting,bowling and fielding !

It is possible.
You know, in the 1996 World Cup final, when these two teams met, 90 % of the people said that Sri Lanka would win. And win they did.
This time also, most people predict the same, and this could be possible.

I think they will shatter Australian World Cup dream...
Because they have a great strength behind them.... whether they win or not.. it doesn't matter... they did their best and still doing...
that's great... we are with them.... that is their strength.... umpires don't support them.... not even most Indians.... i respect all Indian people who are with Sri Lankan team at the moment... and specially for African cricket fans....they are doing a great job there.... so what else Sri Lanka want??? They have good fans all around them.... U can win this world cup Sri Lanka...

There is only one team.. who can stop unbeatable Australia.. it's Sri Lanka. Australia is right now overconfidence as it was West Indies in 1983 when India thrashed them eve scoring 183.
Sril Lanka would win and this will be not high scoring game.

Unlikely ,Until Unless srilankan batsman come up with a extraordinary performance,if you look at past records, Australia have been beaten only when some batsman has come up with a terrific batting performance (a big century),another chance being,Australia play bad , the way West indies played in 1983 worldcup finals.

all the commentators with Aus even Ranjanee (ranjith Fernando) not give considerable support.
umpires also may support AUS like SL NZ semi final
India showing they support to SL but they jellos
but ..... all the ppl in world except AUS,ENG,NZ and indians will support to sri lanka.
