thanx in advance!

I don't see the point in wanting to clone things. Breeding technically would be considered cloning if you think about it. The respective species who is breeding is making the same of its race as would it be if made in a lab, but with individualistic genes, if we begin cloning will we become nothing but a "robotic" race of creations and never advancing physically or spiritually? But at least in the traditional breeding way it was created between two of the same instead of a test tube and laboratory. What would be the point of cloning someone else? It will not be the same person, it cannot be, we are all individuals with our own mind. What will the clone do? Make its own life with my image? With that said now, imagine all the crimes that could happen with people. They can say it wasn't me it was my clone as an example. For the theologian aspect of it now is that God put man and woman on the Earth to breed and to create life. The man plants his seed and the woman gives birth. Not the man in a white coat spins a test tube and creates in a lab. What about the spiritual side of it all? The soul and life from God? So many questions arise from the subject of cloning and many would argue it is scientific advancements and others would argue it goes against God. I just want to know what would be the point in it all. If I want to look at a duplicate of myself I will look in a mirror. I do not see the need to have myself cloned for anything. One life and we die. We are the original and to have one look like us is not who we were but what we looked like. Nothing else.

Clone tissues. Clone organs. We need these things the ways your car needs an extra part from time to time. But no, we shouldn't clone whole individuals, because even once it becomes a safe procedure free of genetic screwups, it violates nearly everything we believe about what is desirable for humankind - about our diversity, and our uniqueness, and value as persons. Also, a cloned individual is never guaranteed to exhibit the particular quality that you are trying to recreate. A cloned Einstein would not necessarily be a genius. He could be an idiot twin, without the proper factors in his development.

I'm neutral. On the plus side, it enables us to ensure that certain genetic traits don't die out. It also, if used responsibly, can be a great help to science. Also, don't forget that cloning isn't something man contrives. All identical twins are clones, and things like strawberries and bacteria and potatoes reproduce in a way that produces clones.

On the other hand, it does encourage 'designer babies' which I think is a bad idea. Also, lack of variation means a species is very susceptible to illness...if one disease affects blonde people and there are only blondes, then the human race could be wiped out (obviously extreme example, but thats what happened to a variety of potato in the Potato Famine in Ireland in the late 1700s).

So, personally I approve, but I can see that there are plenty of cons to cloning.

Cloning! I don't understand why people find it so disturbing!
I think there is nothing wrong with cloning. Whether you clone a frog, a sheep or a human being.... there is nothing wrong with it.
I support both reproductive and therapeutic cloning.
I think the question should be...... should we go for cloning now???
To answer this, the technique needs to be improved. When we increase the success rate of these experiments, there should be no problems.
As far as ethics is concerned...... its there so that people debate over the new technology and revolutionary concepts. It will not curtail the growth of science. People who oppose cloning today will find it acceptable when the scientific community comes up with a radically new concept..... say creating life from non-biological source....!!!!!!!

i have no problem with cloning, it maybe man kinds only defense in case of a catastrophic global disaster, as far as cloning for organs goes i am in favor for that too, imagine this? a couple wants a child but one of them is infertile, now through cloning you can take the parents DNA and make a child that is truly THERE child, the only con i see is cloning children not on order, i don't believe anyone should be brought into the world with out a mother but this happens everyday anyways, and i doubt that is part of gods plan

this is not authorized with the aid of the breeding standards set with the aid of The Jockey golf equipment in the process the worldwide. There should be a mating and this might in no way exchange in the Thoroughbred industry. it somewhat is an coverage that the achieveable foal is the son or daughter of the stallion and mare. Cloning or synthetic insemination might injury the industry as this is been built on the grounds that racing began, on the grounds that breeding costs might plummet to next to not something. And a topic of fraud or manipulation may be a lot greater desirable and not employing a actual mating. Genetics is complicated to invest on, on the grounds that there needless to say has been no case study of cloned runners with a try group of "classic" racers.

I feel that although this can be an interesting science experiment, we have alot of other things in this world that all that money can go towards. Cures for things like cancer and aids, feeding the hungry and sheltering thoese who go with out. I believe that this is wasted money. There is no good reason to clone anything. Part of being alive is knowing that you are an indevidual.

cloning maybe good or not...depends on the purpose.... intelligence is a gift from God , thats why people reach to the point that we can clone, however if we do cloning for the purpose to live longer.... i think its already against God, because death is part of Gods plan , if we stop it.. its like You are playing God too.. and that may be called stupidity..... thats my opinion
