Remember, a thesis statement is made up of two things, the subject you are talking about (Marie Antoinette during the French Revolution) and also an opinion... for example, she was great or she was awful ... so, a thesis statement will end up looking something like this:

Marie Antoinette was completely out of touch with suffering of the French people both before and during the French Revolution.

or

Marie Antoinette, being a person of wealth and a woman and wife on top of this, was kept in ignorance and therefore she wasn't to be blamed for the suffering of the people and the failures of her husband, the king.
