Several years ago, National Lampoon magazine published the Miracle Monopoly Cheating Kit. The kit contained, among other things, a fake deed just for morgaging, a $1000 dollar bill, a $5000 bill and deed for Baltic Avenue that had Boardwalk's values on it.

Monopoly is all about cheating. Afterall, do you think that the people who play the monopoly game in real life play by the rules? They got where they are today by stealing and cheating. My favorite way is to be the banker and steal from the bank. You can also move the wrong number of spaces in order to avoid bad spaces.

Top Ten ideas for "Cheating at Monopoly": 1. Seat your rivals so that the strong flashing lights (I don't know where they came from) are in their eyes. 2. Substitute real money for your stacks and buy the game off. 3. Hold opponent's tokens hostage. 4. White out an extra zero on all the expensive properties' rent returns. Look! A hotel on Boardwalk pays only $200! 5. Hire off-duty cops to come in on your cue and "bust out the black market real estate" if you're losing. 6. You insist that the game cannot continue with you waiting in jail until you see your lawyer. 7. The bank gets "bought out" by a Stimulus-enhanced Freddie Mac, who then gives you sweetheart deals. 8. In the middle of the game, you produce Shadow Inventory deeds claiming you own Luxury Tax, the Jailhouse, Chance and Comunity Chest (which now includes all the cards). 9. The group from MGM comes in and buys all your opponents' strong properties - and turns them into casinos. 10. A Native American advocacy group representative comes to tell your opponents that their property belongs to its rightful owner.

I love playing monoply with friends and family and we never cheat... Sometime we steal $1 from each other but then give them back after a few rounds! If you steal from the bank and get caught you wont be trusted again to be banker so that wouldn't be a good move. You can't really cheat because everybody is always watching you. You can't change the numbers on he dice because someone might see you. One way to get rid of paying money though, is when you land on someone's square, don't tell them if they haven't noticed and pretend nothing has happened, that way you don't pay!

My success at Monopoly is not really cheating. If you land on Park Place and/or Boardwalk, buy them. If someone else lands on them, negotiate with them by offering them a low-ball figure. They will counter that offer. Repeat as necessary until you make a deal. Trade properties, too, if you need to. Once you have both properties, build as many hotels as you can on both. I guarantee you will make $$. If you don't own those properties, I guarantee you will land on them and pay someone else.
