Hello, My husband & I are baseball coaches and I was wondering what a good treat would be to give the kids after the season is up?

I think taking & paying for 15 kids to go to a Major League game would be too expensive.

We always had an end of the season bbq/carry-in followed by a softball (that's safer than a baseball) game between the kids and their parents. We always ended up having lots of fun. We made fools of ourselves for the most part. Still a great memory.

Whenever the season is up we usually go to a pizza place and give out trophy's, it's fun. And yes 15 kids to a major league game? That would be 300 bucks for nosebleed seats plus you and your husband would be 340 bucks. Anyway half the kids wouldn't even want to be there and will complain the whole time.

The Ball-B-Q is always a hit, thats what I used to do,get a field reserved and set up a BBQ and have the Dads play the kids in a game, the Moms can join in too, cause I know there is some gals that can play the game as well.Hot dogs and hamburgers are not to expensive. It is a good days work though even though I didn't look at it that way.

How about taking all of them together to see a professional major league baseball game for your local team?

If you're in a town that doesnt have a local MLB team, then how about taking them all out to an amusement park or something, kids love that stuff.

Pizza party, hot dog cookout, or take them to a MINOR league game. It's more fun in a lot of ways, and certainly cheaper, and unless you're very near one of the 26 cities/regions with a major league team it's a lot easier to get to.

Why not see if the parents wouldn't mind paying for the tickets to the game, and just host a tailgate BBQ party in the parking lot, parents welcome too.
Or, I remember back in the day we were always happy with a pizza party and if someone has a pool, even better!

Fresh baked cookies always was a big hit when I played. You will be loved by all.

Never use store bought cookies. Fresh baked is the only way to go.

Sorry read to fast for my own good. A baseball signing or a game will due just fine.

I would say a pot luck picnic, that would give the parents to get know the other parents and kids will have more time to bond together. Maybe have parents chip in for trophies to give to the kids. It will mean a lot to the kids when they receive trophies especially when their name is engrave on it. They will remember and cherish the trophy through their adulthood.
