I was a chef for 15 years. Whenever I saw that I would send them home for the shift. Because if I could catch it so could a guest. Plus it is downright nasty and lazy and inconsiderate. This would only have to happen once for the rest of my staff to get the hint that it would not be tolerated. I would also do daily fingernail checks for my line cooks and prep guys. In kitchen's long nails = filth. I had three simple rules:1) show up 5 minutes early, 2) work hard, 3) and Listen to your coworkers.

I would go up to the co-worker and say "EWWWWWWWWWW! Did you REALLY just use the toilet and NOT wash your hands? That is disgusting."
If you work in food service, you MUST tell your supervisor. That is exactly how restaurants shut down with costly food poisoning and spread of disease and it means YOU might be out of work for a few days while the health department figures out which employee got everyone sick.
NOT telling the boss could cost YOU and your workplace BIGS BUCKS.

That all depends on the work they do. If they are in the restaurant/food serving business, they should be spoken to privately by management so as not to embarrass them. Everyone should wash their hands a lot during the day in order to eliminate as many germs as we can.

I would privately tell them that I have there station while they go wash. Then I would assure them that the next request will be on the PA system not in private. I am the boss....don't cross me with your gross ineptness at a basic duty....wash your freakin' hands.

What would I do?? Well, I have asked a co worker if they forgot to do something. I have also gave someone a tube of sanitizer hand gel as a gift.

Their own business. But I wouldn't sit at the next station over from them, either. Keep a bit of distance.

Nothing. Mind my own business and remember not to shake hands with them in the future.

try not to come on contact with them an if it were inevitable, I would wash my hands after dealing with them. As an EMT, that would be a biohazard~
