I believe the next energy of tomorrow will be Fusion. It is far more powerful than fission and if controlled can solve our energy needs for years to home.
I also think good ole' H2O. If we are able to devise an efficient way to separate the O from the H2 and use the H2 for fuel, cars, homes, etc. not only would we have a clean safe enviorment we obviously would have a unlimited amount to use

Nuclear, Solar, wind power, wave power, geothermal power etc. and then fusion will come along.
