Yes we do, but only if we remember that we must choose to laugh. Human nature is no different here then it is there.

Worldwide Americans sometimes are pictured as insensitive to other cultures. You chose a wrong example of why to be thankful for America. In India you do like the Indians. America is bigger than the outrage over different ways to express affection.

In India you can get an arranged marriage with a 10 year old girl. In the US, with or without parental approval, that's likely a life sentence.

I've always said too bad each of us dont have the opportunity to live in other countries that do not have our freedoms. We should be thankful that some things are left to our own decisions. The world needs laws, but to a minimum. We cant keep up enforcing the laws as it is. Just look at the border for a prime example. We need to work on making our world better, not spend our time worrying about the sex life of a fruit fly.

What if you're not in America?

Personally I prefer being here in the UK, because we can still laugh at stuff like that, and also laugh at a president who can't eat pretzels properly without getting yelled at by someone who's set themselves up as the patriotism police.

America is great and I am sick of Americans blaming us for all of the problems in the world.

BTW Great article.

Thank you! Perhaps we all lose sight of that fact.

At least we are still relatively free to express our thoughts and feelings.... so far that is!

People are starving, but they get up in arms over a kiss. Nice.
