I bought a new mattress last year and the standard procedure is to touch it and lay down to see how it conforms to the contours of your body. I don't weigh very much so I had a pretty good idea about what I needed. Fat people should always test a bed. I will tell you this much about men, if we need it we don't spend a month looking at every bed.

i think so... we should all do that cuz we all go in there and lay flat on our backs with our hands at our sides and go "hmm, yeah, that's good"... who really sleeps like that. you should be able to take a pillow and blanket in and take a good nap.
