In the lawn, just use a weed and feed. Most products handle dandelions quite well. In flower beds, dig them up. Use one of those weed gizmos that looks like a screwdriver with a forked end to get the whole root. If you don't get the whole thing, it will grow back.

Eat them. Seriously, they're great in salads and high in vitamin c.
