The Falcons should take LaRon Landry if he is available. The Falcons need a playmaker in the secondary and Landry fits the bill.

All signs point to safety LaRon Landry from LSU.
They could really use help on their defensive and offensive lines, as well as an eventual replacement for running back Warrick Dunn, but safeties Chris Crocker (who should be playing SS, not FS) and Lawyer Milloy (who will be 34 next season) struggled against the past last season.
IMHO, the only way the Falcons don't come out of the first round with Landry is if some other team trades ahead of them to get Landry. Backup plans could include defensive end Adam Carriker of Nebraska, offensive tackle Levi Brown of Penn State, and running back Adrian Peterson of Oklahoma.

The Falcons need extensive help at wide receiver and in the secondary.I think if they dont trade up to pick Calvin Johnson, then they get LaRon Landry at #8......then they'll move Chris Crocker to SS because he cant provide deep help......

I want to trade everything we have to get Calvin Johnson. I'm dumb like that. But i think we'll either take Landry or the 19yr old DT from louisville, because he has already played under Bobby Patrino. A long shot is Teddy Ginn. Not just because of his ability as a reciever, but also because he can step right in as a punt and kick return man...and Allen Rossum has struggled in that department over the last couple of years.

Latest rumor has them trading every pick this year and maybe even a pick from next year draft to trade up and get Calvin Johnson. I think they will trade up and get laron Landry though. I dont think they will trade all their picks to move up to #1 or #2 to take Calvin, thats way too much.
