I wouldn't wait until a first date to be won over. If they don't have your "must have personality" why are you on a first date with them?
Must have personality for me would be an open minded, good natured, enthusiastic one.

Just need to be confident and be yourself. If you try to be someone else that really isn't you, you are misleading the person into a superficial and false relationship, no matter how it turns out. Other people have to love you for who you really are.
