The other answers here get at your question nicely. Although Roslind wasn't really interested in DNA the x-ray was hers. She would have probably gotten the Nobel along with Watson and Crick but she had already died of cancer.

A whole lot. If you google their names, you'll find out a lot about both of them. Watson is still alive and working, Crick died a few years ago.

They didn't actually discover the structure. All they did was look at some pictures and measurements that Rosalind Franklin had made using X-ray crystallography, then said they found it all on their own. She never got recognition for her work.
