Punish? No. Why? We must search our thinking and decide if all we are simply looking for is someone to crucify for the debacle that happened with the pet food scandal.

Scrutinize its function? Yes. For all its might and huge machinery, organization, etc, where was the hole where all of this had fallen through?

Plug that hole !

Yes, punish them all. Fire them all including congress and all of the politicians with them. They are all part of the problem. Find out who has been taking the most bribes and throw them under the jail. I am afraid the problem though is a lot bigger than just one government agency and there are too many corporations that have their hand in causing this problem.

If the farmers in this country can not produce for our needs as well as the needs of our pets then we are in a very very bad situation. But do not blame the farmers either. In fact we have been loosing farmers steadily for the last 20 years. Small farms have been bought out by large corporations and they export a lot of what we produce. There is no reason that we could not provide for our own needs. The government has seen to it that we can not. So now we have to import the majority of our food from other countries that hate us can you see how much of a problem this really is.

They will always use the low man as the scapegoat. Zeroing salaries for people that work for less than what costs for them to live is not the way to punish people, because the people that really need to be held accountable never are. Who are the ones that are taking the most bribes they are the ones that need to be held accountable, but they won't be. Because they are too high up and they have made too many deals with the devils overseas.

Why punish the FDA just because the last twelve years of Republicans never gave them sufficient money to do their jobs?

How about we punish the Republican Congress that is responsible for this Bullsit???????
