The reason baby gets hiccups is because they are practicing using their lungs, only instead of getting air they get amniotic fluid in their windpipe, hence creating the hiccups..all normal!

Fetal hiccups are a normal and can be even seen on an ultrasound. Your baby may have started having hiccups intermittently beginning in the late first or early second trimester, although you wouldn't have been able to feel the hiccups at that early stage.
I get them once in a while, just take it as a sing of her being healthy!

Hiccups are normal. In fact it means that their nerves are all connected and working fine, which is a good sign. My baby gets them about three times a day as well. While they can get annoying, I love them. It lets me know the baby is doing alright, and I can tell where her head is. There's no need to worry!

Hey...100% normal! I'm 34 and a half weeks and my little boy gets them ALL the time...and i mean like 3-4 times a day. I asked my doctor about it and he said that it was completely normal! It's just your lil one practicing to breathe by inhaling the amniotic fluid....But I've heard that they'll get them after they're born too.

Baby hiccups are perfectly normal and perfectly safe. Hiccups actually don't bother babies like they do adults. I loved that feeling, I thought it was so sweet that my little tadpole was in there hiccuping.

My baby has them often as well. I notice if I drink soda she will get them, or if I eat spicy foods. But I dont know for sure thats what gives them to her. But the Dr. said if they have them then thats good it means their lungs are working the way they should be!

When I was pregnant with my daughter, she had them all the time. They do not hurt the baby, nor is there anything you can do to prevent them. They can be annoying sometimes, but they are harmless.

Some babies are just prone to them. It doesn't hurt them, but it can get really annoying for you.

I don't know if it has anything to do with what you eat, I wouldn't think so but I do know that it won't hurt him/her.
