Hi Carl...The US in my opinion has just recently copped a "bad reputation" due to Bush's Administration. Bush and his crew at the WH has done so much damage with diplomatic relations and due to this civil war in the Middle East and not to mention the "lies" that have been foretold to us Americans that no wonder other countries see us as a "bad egg" anymore. Hopefully after our election in 2008 there will be a change in our government to where some Good relations with other countries can be salvaged and other issues can be resolved for the better. Have a great day!

Because of their arrogance. But having lived elsewhere, I find that Americans don't have such a horrible reputation - it's the government that really carries the burden.

the hassle-free answer would be that the media interior the U.S. falsely portrays the police as abusive and brutal. at a similar time as police brutality does certainly take place, that is not each and every or perhaps maximum officers who abuse ability. it incredibly is a project that occurs between a small share of regulation enforcement workers. There are undesirable apples in each and every bunch and regulation enforcement is not any distinctive. in spite of the undeniable fact that, in case you seek YouTube for the words "police brutality" you will discover thousands of video clips that declare to comprise cases of cops abusing their ability and unjustly putting their palms on human beings. The humorous area is that the video posters will basically tutor you area of the incident. And, that element is the element wherein an officer is utilising actual tension against yet somebody else. in no way concepts what this guy or woman would have executed which you probably did not see. The officer is immediately interior the incorrect. I understand that there are officers available who won't have stable human beings skills and, for this reason, they are distrusted or disliked by utilising the inhabitants they serve. yet, maximum officers are stable at what they do and, in any different case, would not have jobs. it incredibly is considerable while viewing video clips like those aforementioned that one opens their concepts and in step with possibility even places himself/herself interior the footwear of the officer. If one has in no way been a police officer, in no way been spat upon, in no way been hit, scratched, stabbed, choked or had their life or the lives of their kinfolk threatened, it incredibly is trouble-free to stand back and Monday morning quarterback an officer and accuse pronounced officer of misconduct or brutality. on the different hand, if one has been knowledgeable in hand handy attempt against and is conscious the thank you to stay with the minimum volume of tension necessary to regulate a guy or woman who's bodily combative, issues are seen from a plenty distinctive attitude. yet, as long by way of fact the naysayers refuse to open their minds to the potential of viewing an incident from the different side of the spectrum, this argument would be one for the a while. while the concepts is freed the rest will persist with. i'm hoping this helps.

Oh, where to start...Taking over other countries, disrespecting their citizens, our general arrogance that we have the right to dictate to other countries, our rudeness-especially outside the U.S., violence, situations like Hiroshima and Nagasaki, presidents and cabinets who have no regard for the truth or its citizenry, low educational standards, greed, rampant capitalism, never being satisfied with what we have...I am an American, but can see us from an international point of view.

Because, from the outside, it looks like we think our way of life is better than everyone else's. And we bully anyone who doesn't govern like us or do what we want them to do. Plus, all the religious fundamentalists in the world look at our TV shows and our "Celebrity News" crap and think we're all crazy sex-fiends and are going to hell.

Because it is the richest and most powerful country in the world. Alot of others resent that. And then of course there's people who are cynical of the US for better reasons.

Oh I don't know - I guess it's the lack of humility, the attitude that if it's American, it MUST be best. It's not jealousy, like most Americans think.

We interefere in things that aren't our business. And we often treat other countries badly, out of sheer arrogance or lack of understanding.
But we give lots of money. Lots of money.
