I have been working for a temp agency for about 2 months in a nursing home and I want this nursing home to hire me in as a CNA. This is the only experience I have is through this agency how do I write a cover letter if I have no other experience in this field. All my other experience is through manufacturing.

Don't be afraid of not having experience in that field. Instead, focus on good work ethics, and how strong you feel about making a change. State the reasons you want to work with them. Is it the personal contact and sense of fulfillment? has the exposure made you realize a talent for care-giving? Whatever you feel is the reason you want to work there, relay it STRONGLY. Good Luck!

I'm sure that's not your only experiences. Have you ever volunteered somewhere? Tie that into caring about people. Any community activities? Talk about the love of the job, and how you want to make an impact on peoples' lives.
Something along those lines, just off the top of my head.
