Last night she was laying on her side in the cage, so I picked her up. Her right side seemed to be completely limp and her eyes were doing this little twitching motion- showed no signs she was in pain though. I held out a green pepper and she took it immediately and chowed right down. She didn't act like she was in pain, just like she couldn't move half her body. I put her back in the cage and she continued to eat the pepper. I took her to the emergency vet about 20 minutes away, and when we got there, she was completely normal- she was climbing around the carrier, washing her face, and seemed happy enough. So I brought her home. She shares a cage with my other piggie who has no signs of anything wrong. No new litter or food.
She's eating and drinking. Sleeping a bit more. This morning she was fine. I made an appointment with her regular vet who specializes in exotics. On the phone they seemed to think it was a seizure of some sort. Any ideas? I'm really worried about her!

Go with what the vet said - they're the professionals! No one on here can give you a more likely guess, we haven't even seen the animal.

I must admit when I read this my first thought as 'seizure'.

You're doing the right thing by taking the piggy to the exotic specialist, you'll get the best answers from them, not on here.

Don't blame you for being worried....It doesn't sound like there is somthing wrong with her it seems like half of her body got cut off from blood circulation. Just like when you sleep on your arm and wake up to a arm that you don't want to move.

Good luck : )
