Did you enter a lottery in a foreign country? Otherwise it's a scam.

This is a very common scam, usually perpetrated by phone or email. However, if you actually played a foreign lottery and won, I would suggest traveling to that country to obtain the funds.

like most people should know, it is a scam
even if they actually send you a check it is still a scam, they can send a check, tell you to cash it and send them taxes or something, then the check doesnt clear and you have to pay for it,

i would like someone to tell me why they would EVER believe some random email that says they won a lotto they didnt enter in a country they never have seen, or are inheriting something from nigeria, seriously i would love to know

its a scam. don't give them any information ESPECIALLY no bank/personal information. don't deposit any checks they send you. don't wire them any money.

like the above poster said, did you enter into any contest/lottery in another country? if not, then... ITS NOT REAL.
