And are considered to some as economic genuises. However if that government was to take those same monies and invest them back in american industrial diversification, educational, and health initiatives at home they would be considered irresponsible?

we spent nearly as much on defense as do all the other countries in the world combined. Yet we hear about our troops not being adequately equipped. How can that be. Some one is making a sick profit off off that defense budget at the expense of the American taxpayers. Why is that not a crime????

Conservatives don't like most Americans that is completely evident, they think they are above the laws of the land. Pouring money into another money pit scam is the only thing they have confidence in. The war in Iraq is just like how Kenneth Lay and Jeff Skillman duped the stockholders of Enron. The same experience and scenario is going on and the American people are the stockholders with this war.

Sorry the government spending our money is never the answer,it was the trillions spend since the seventies would have eliminated poverty but the % is still the same, best solution is to let the people keep most of their own money they can spend and manage more efficiently that the government can.

Lets ask that to Nancy/Harry they want to spend 21 Billion for Shrimp/peanut storage to buy votes. If they have all that money for pork why then can't the invest them as you say.... seem hypocritical or is political bias at work.

Millions have to be spent on war for the defense contractors to make money and for the demand of oil to go up. You have to spend money to make money. The sad reality is they are spending taxpayers money to make themselves money.
