Do you think people in South Jersey are rude? I know their not as bad as North Jersey but what do you think? Just wondering what your opinion is? Do you think North and South Jersey are really that different?

Rude? Not necessarily. Rushed and impatient, yes, but I think that's characteristic of most of the Northeast (Philadelphia to Boston, at least)
If there's one thing I've noticed in my travels (from S. Jersey originally, but have lived in the South and on the West Coast), it's that people from the Northeast, and particularly NJ, are more cynical/sarcastic than the rest of the country. This, coupled with the fact that we're always in a rush, can make us seem a bit rude.
North Jersey is a bit different from South Jersey, if anything I'd say the people there lead even more hectic lives.

I've been to exteme south jersey salem county. I have found it to be quite friendly. I have also been to the suburban part of South Jersey like Cherry Hill and Marlton and have found Friendly and jackass types amongest each other. Based on the way people thougout the state drive they all seem to be rude. No one seems to know the right of way, cut eachother off and constant tailgating eventhough it will get no one anywhere. If you take the NJ driver away from the car I think most are acutally decent people but behind the wheel is a different story.

New Jersey (don't forget that this is an international board and some people may think that you are talking about someplace in the UK) has a subculture all of it's own.

You must study the subculture! Before you can pass a verdict on what is rude, you must first establish what normal human interaction is for that location.

Otherwise you are comparing apples and oranges.

I live here and I am not rude although in general people are less polite these days, probably due to the stress of living in such a densely populated and expensive place to live.
