Origins: South America, occurring through much of the Amazon basin, eastwards from Peru to Belem in Brazil.
Size: 15cm (6inch).
Diet: Prepared foods, vegetable matter, small live foods and frozen foods.
Water: temperature 24-28c (72-82F); soft (50-100 mg/I) and acidic (pH 6.5).

this is a graceful cichlid and amongst one of the most popular of all tropical fish, recommended in a community tank but can become aggressive once large adults and then should be kept with other large cichlids. (fire-mouths).
with their long fins they are an easy target for fin nippers (barbs). they are best kept either 1 solitary male or 3 males or 2 females.
angels are capable of having up to 1000 eggs which the pair will guard against scavengers or other rivalry fish (other angels).

They are sensitive and beautiful. They can be tempermental yet get along well with semi aggressive fish like gouramies. Please be more specific in your question. Here is a link to a great website on angelfish.

This is a great place to address specific questions once you have fish as well as doing your research before you get any fish.

They are part of the cichlid family. They can be semi-aggressive. They can also be territorial. They can grow to be quite large (dependent upon the size of their tank).
That's about it!
