I am not refering to any mental disorder or physical sickness, what i mean is why are most humans (Id say at least 99%) sick enough to cause suffering of any kind. This could be burning insects alive, eating factory farmed meat, sentencing someone to life in prison. No one has compassion...Why?

I think its either because people are zombie's as a result of biological reasons (flouride treatement in water supply, ex.), or because their lives are just to good to know what suffering is, or to care about anything else. Usually the worst someones life is, the more compassionate they are. Ya they do have a higher chance of commiting murder, but that's probably because of the antidepressants in addition to the way they are treated.

because so many feel like they've experienced in one form or another crude injustice and wish to somehow vent it back out against the world. or, in some cases, they simply don't care. certain things bring them brief pleasure and it doesn't matter if others suffer. then there's those (the real scary ones) who actually believe what they're doing is right and good and just. many people want things done about the human race and attempt to explain it away but never do anything to try to change or help it! peace, love, and happiness seems to be little more than a cliche phrase. no one wants to believe it for their own personal (and selfish) reasons. but to entirely overlook the good in man would be a pity. there are lots and lots of good people out there! life is still beautiful and so are people and this world. changing our attitude about it might be the first step in standing against those who want to destroy destroy destroy out of fear and/or ignorance.

My theory is there are 2 major causes :

1) Adverse childhood experiences making the person "cold" emotionally

2) Bio-chemistry complications , whether it be erratic blood sugar , mercury exposure , pesticide or other toxin intake . . .
Many substance , natural and engineered can cause mental issues and many , many people are exposed to them BUT do not understand the consequences
(as with hatters who did not understand mercury exposure problems)
