the damage car has no tax or mot it has light drivers door damage and does drive ,brakes are fine and all lights indecaters also work

The answer is no but if you have a dolly, so that the front 2 wheels are off the ground then you can, or hire a trailer for about £20.00

Well if the car can be driven which is stated in your question,I believe go down to the DNV can pay $10 for a Temp Plate which is good for 5 days and drive with no worries. Other wise never pull a car by a rope use a flat bed or a Two Wheel Dolley. Those silly ways of pulling and towing cars and trucks in the 70'and 80' should be over, more people had been cited with tickets over this stretch of time over this conduct.

If the car could be driven under its own power then it needs full legal docs (Tax, MOT, Insurance) If it is actually broken down, and I don't mean simply fails to start, then a grey area. To tow it your insurance must cover towing and include the towed vehicle, cripple must be effectively roadworthy, driver must be qualified, and under current rules must be taxed. You need to put "On Tow" board with your reg number on back. Much simpler to get a trailer or recovery truck.

well the law wont mess with you, , if you got the e.. light on, an pulling it in day light hours, i belive the toeing speed is up to 45 mph,here in lousiana , we pull them all the time, an neven been mess with, , but it is againt the law to use a chain,
