Im 13. I have to sort this out once and for all. I have been having my period for almost 6 weeks. I have been felling light headed sometimes and very emotional and sensative. I live in spain with my mum and my dad lives in UK I go to visit him every 2 months. I have HIV and I go to the doctor while Im there to have a check up. When I went there last time (in March) my period was going for 4 weeks and I was worried so I told the doctor, she called the expert on periods and they said I was fine. Then in 2 days I came back to spain and it was still going to this moment. We told the doctor that we are gonna be moving to spain and they said they could not attend to me and would have to find a doctor in spain. I had read up loads of articles about spanish HIV doctors and they arn't very good so we told the doctor that mum has got a job both in england and spain so we have to fly back and forth and we need a doctor in both countrys so they are still trying to find the best doctor.

I would get a referral from your current doc.
To con't to bleed like you're doing is not normal, you need to take care of it ASAP because you're becoming anemic due to all the blood loss (light headedness).

Please see the best available doctor as soon as you can. Nobody on here is going to be able to help you. Can you call your doctor in England and ask for a referral to a reputable doctor in Spain? Bleeding for 6 weeks is not normal for anyone, and having HIV makes anything high risk. Don't waste time, just go to the doctor or hospital. Best to be safe.

oh gosh thats terrible... did the doc mention anything like the continous period is due to your HIV.... cause u will definitely feel light headed due to the constant loss of blood... u might want to find a good gynae and get a good check on your uterus there might be problem with the uterus wall being not strong enough to hold the blood ....
