I cut back from caffeine for the past month now, and before I got my period, my breasts were really sore and were really itchy. I just got off my period last week, and my boobs are still sore and still itch, but not as much. It seems to me as if they got a bit bigger, because my bras are a bit tight. Is this all normal or should I be worried about it being something else, or are my boobs just growing. By the way I'm 21 weigh 110lbs. and am also using birth control. I started my period on the 14 and was supposed to be off by the 18 then I noticed some brown discharge, what can that be. It wasn't much, but still. I would really appreciate all the answers I get.

I've been on birth control now for the past 2 years and nothing seemed to be changing till now. I use the nuva ring.

I'm 24 and have been on birth control since I was 18, and I often get the same symptoms as you. Right before my period, my boobs seem to get bigger, and sore, and itchy! Even after my period, my boobs get itchy sometimes. The brown discharge is also normal--sometimes you think that your period is done and then some spotting or brown discharge sneaks up on you. It's not a yeast infection, as these are not symptoms of a yeast infection. If the discharge is foul smelling I would see a doctor, but it appears to be just normal post-period discharge! Also, I don't think the caffeine cut back has anything to do with it so don't worry about that. If you find that these symptoms are really a problem with you, you may want to talk to your doctor about switching your birth control as different kinds offer different levels of hormones. Hope this helps! :)

Birth control (pill form) makes your breasts bigger, so that's normal.

Four days is a short period, and brown discharge is normal. As far as I know it's just old blood.

Soreness is kind of part of the deal, but I don't know if birth control causes that. I wouldn't be surprised, though. Take a bath in some kind of oatmeal product made for that. It might help, and if it doesn't all that happens is that you feel good.

not sure if soreness and itch on breast are also classified as yeast infection.. gues the only way to find out is to seek a doctor professional advise.

You need to go see your doc., it would be difficult to determine all your symptoms without being seen.
