why am I having a period for 3 weeks in a row?

I am on the 4 month continous pills, then having a period and then 4 months of pills again. I have been bleeding for 3 weeks solid on my 3rd pack of pills. I had one week where I didn't bleed at all and now I am bleeding again. What is causing this?

You need to make an apt. with your doc., it would be difficult to diagnose your symptoms without being seen.
