the only scene i remember is a lady has this power to remove a disease ( like cancer, ms, cp, etc.) from one person into her own body, then she either cures herself or the illness just goes away. i think she may have died at the end but ...

...a very underappreciated minor masterpiece of a film, you speak of 'Resurrection' (1980), starring Ellen Burstyn and Sam Shepard; it has been out of print on VHS for years (though it appears that private sellers at www.amazon.com have a few up for sale), and unfortunately has yet to see a
DVD release
Private EBAY sellers might even have a copy or two, of the VHS tape.....
...with almost forgotten films favs from the late '70's and early '80's, finally seeing release on DVD of late (such as the upcoming 'Who's Life Is It, Anyways?' and 'Tempest'), we can only hope that Universal Home Video (the distributer of the VHS tape) sees fit to finally release 'Resurrection', too!!!
....hope so, 'cause I've worn out my VHS tape quite a bit, over the years!!!
