If you are on the north pole and facing in the direction of the USA, and you move diagnally forward towards your right, what direction would you be moving ( North, northeast, east, etc )?

No matter which direction you head from the noth pole, you are headed south.

According to your compass you would be moving north since the magnetic north pole is near southern Alaska. However, if you are saying that the north pole is truly north (which it's not), then you could head in any direction away from north and it would be south.

Do you mean the geographic pole or the magnetic pole? If it is the Geographic pole you would be headed south and facing east (geographically speaking) as you descended the curve of the earth like the meridian lines that you see on maps. If you ment the magnetic pole you would be headed west from Canada into the state of Alaska.

South west...you are at the North pole and facing USA, thus you are facing Southward. If you travel to your right diagonally then, you'd be heading toward California/Vancouver coast thus westward.

According to a map you are going south-west, magnetically you are moving in more of a west-south-west fashion.
