Not likely, you are more likely to get pregnant when you are ovulating which if you started your period on December 31, you should have been most fertile on January 13-15.

If you have regular (28-30 day) cycles, then chances are you ovulated around Day 14. However, it's very possible you ovulated early, like cycle Day 8-10 (which would be January 7-9th).
I ovulated early last year, was intimate on the day after my period ended (Day 8) and conceived.
If you were intimate on January 5th then chances are you ovulated early and conceived earlier, like closer to Day 8. Sperm can last a while inside of you, so even though you were intimate on the 5th, the sperm probably hung out for a few days and then when you released the egg early (Jan 7-9) that's when you actually conceived (instead of mid-cycle).
So the due date you are given by the doctor may be as much as a week off. Baby might come sooner rather than later.

This is very unlikely. You ovulate (can get pregnant, because an egg is dropped) usually two weeks after the first day of your last period. If you got pregnant right after that period, you probably conceived around the 14th of January. Although if you have an erratic cycle it is hard to tell when you conceived! If nothing else you will find out from your doctor at your first appt. He/She can help you to determine your conception date. Good Luck and Congrats!

On a regular cycle, ovulation occurs about 14 days after the first day of your cycle. If you have an irregular cycle, then this time will vary. Can you get pregnant the day after your period ends...its possible, but not likely. the time of the pregnancy will start with the last day of the cycle. Go with that.

Although it would have been more likely that you would get pregnant from sex closer to ovulation, sometimes sperm can live for several days inside of you. So if you ovulated a bit early (which can happen) and still had a live sperm swimming around in there, you could potentially have gotten pregnant from a sexual experience that occurred several days before you ovulated. (That's why the "rhythm" method of contraception is one of the less reliable ones...those little sperm are unpredictable, feisty little whipper-snappers)
