That's not a stupid question...the answer is no, not all Super Bowl-winning coaches make it to the Hall of Fame. You truly have to be a great coach to make it in there.

No. It surely helps your chances if you have a good winning record, but a coach that had only one winning season that happened to be a SB season and the rest of the time his teams were not that good, will not make it to the HOF. On the other hand, if you have a winning record and no SB ring, you still can make it, but it is tough. That is why it was so important for Bill Cowher to win his SB. That pretty much guaranteed that he will be inducted in the Hall of Fame after he retires for good. Barry Switzer won a SB with the Cowboys, but I do not think that he will get in, he inherited Jimmy Johnson's team and won his only SB, but after that the Cowboys were not that good, so he will not be inducted ever in the SB, not enough wins or long career to justify him been inducted and besides, he did it with somebody else's players, not the ones that he drafted.

It may seem that way but really that doesn't put you in the Hall. Didn't Madden win one? Yet we all know he is REALLY in as an announcer. Look at his body of work as a Coach as far as win-loss and yet that didn't get him in. Of course that his players openly say he told them if you aren't cheating you aren't trying hard enough may have something to do with the no respect as a coach. Most Coaches who win the Superbowl will get in the Hall though simply because they did so much else that got their name there first. Wait a minute are you still angry about Ditka? Look at his body of work with the Bears, ignore that hanging on that he did with the Saints.

Lots of Super Bowl winning coaches don't make the Hall of Fame.
However, multiple winners are another story.
The only multiple winners not in the Hall of Fame are:
Jimmy Johnson
Mike Shanahan
Bill Parcells
Bill Belichick
All of these will certainly be inducted

No it's based more on the amount of wins and winning percentage more then anything. If you can win a Super Bowl as well it might only help your chances but that doesn't guarantee anything at all.

There is no guarantee. I don't think Chuck Noll, who won four super bowls, made it to the hall of fame.

Actually, you don't even have to have won the S.B. to be in the HOF. Bud Grant is in there and he never won one.
