Every driver knows that stilettos or platform shoes are dangerous while driving.
But a recent study also considered "pointed-toe shoes" and "cowboy-boots" as inappropriate footwear, as they can hinder braking. These shoes are usually low-heeled and do not have any thick soles. So why are they a hazard?

They do not transmit brake "feel" to the foot and are too high.
If you are wearing cowboy boots and are over 12 you probably need more help than this.

I suppose it because there is the potential for the front of the shoe to get fouled on the underside of the peddles/dash in an emergency.
Sounds to me like who ever did this survey had more time on there hands than anything else.
Buy the way a recent study showed that farmers exposed to animal **** have a 75% higher chance of going deaf. Perhaps we should ban bull **** studies?
