Some say the universe is always expanding, and is infinite. I don't think it's possible to complete a map with infinite 3 dimension lengths.

If it is even possible, it would take longer than the probable lifetime of the human race :)

How much detail do you envision? Just all the Main Sequence stars? Or all the Stars, planets, satellites, asteroids, black holes, neutron stars, comets, etc, etc, etc.

A Complete Map would have to include all those things... and by the time you finished, many of the stars you originally cataloged would have died.

So... I don't think it would be possible.

By its very nature, the universe is changing at every moment; stars are born, stars die, galaxies colide with galaxies and create new shaped galaxies, and the university expands, meaning what the university looked like when you started to read my answer is no longer so.
