For the second time this pregnancy -- and I'm only 14 weeks! -- I have picked up a stomach bug from my toddler. No fever this time, just ... you know the drill, I'm sure.
Is this anything to worry about, or do I just let it take its course?

There's absolutely nothing to worry about. With all three of my pregnancies I've gotten a stomach bug at some point. I just made sure to stay hydrated, and whatever you can eat (or feel like eating) make it as good a food as possible. You know, something that has high nutritional value.

The virus is in your digestive tract and cannot pass over through the placenta so baby is perfectly safe. Drinking as much fluid as you can will speed along your body's process of getting rid of the virus.

Peppermint or ginger tea is safe and may ease stomach discomfort and cramps. Bulk-forming foods like bananas may help if you have diahrrea.

Sorry to hear you are ill. Best of luck with your pregnancy.

Oh man about 12 weeks into my pregnancy I got a 24 hour bug on my 26th birthday. Oh did it hurt and I was sooo sick I couldn't keep anything down and then I would get nauseous from the hunger and then nauseous because I ate. I was fine when it went away, I did tell my doctor and she basically said drink plenty of fluids.

It sounds kinda like the flu, I had morning affliction the completed 9 months yet I very infrequently ran a fever. Drink a great form of fluids and it on no account hurts to call the wellbeing care provider. Take it straightforward and sense greater helpful quickly!!!
