The fish may be struggling from swim bladder bottom dwelling fish have a smaller swim bladder, this is a gas filled area that is an important organ to the fish.
The swim bladder may have started to fill with water causing the fish to loose a counterbalance in the water.
There is two kinds of treatment that you can use for this problem but the treatments take time and are not always successful.
1. The first treatment is an aquarium treatment from: Interpet no; 13 swimbladder treatment.
2. The second treatment is Aquarium Pharmaceuticals Doc Wellfish's Fresh Water Aquarium Salt this is great treatment for all fish, diseses and internal problems.

My money would be on an internal infection causing the weakness and lethergy.

I assume this was a well established tank that you put the fish in? If not, then ammonia could easily be the cause in which case the water change was the best thing to do.

If it was a well established tank and you feel an internal infection may be the cause, I suggest treating with Furanace or Furan-2.

he could have a swim bladder problem. I would rule out internal parasites since none of your other fish are infected either.

See if you can get him to eat greens, peas, beans, lettuce etc. this will help. There is no medicines that treat swimbladder that a pea cannot fix.

Salt will not cure internal parasites and since it is a cat fish....KEEP THE SALT OUT.

Try a few greens he should clear up in a day or two. If you still suspect parasites...feed him medicated food, since water treatmens do not work well or quick enough and do damage to your biofilter.

It could be that the flow from your filter is just very strong. Another thing is internal parisites. But I would not just start treating the tank based on this. If he is a young catfish it could be just a matter of he is not as strong. Good Luck!

im guessing that there may be a bully in your tank.
if you have time, sit a while and have a close examine on your fish and watch carefully to what it and others do.

there also may be a desease of soe kind in your water.
consider having a 25% water change. see if there is any difference after a while.

i hope this comes to some help.
