3x^2 - 6x + 20x - 40 = 0
3x(x - 2) + 20(x - 2) = 0
(x-2)(3x+20) = 0

x = 2
x = -20/3

(3x + 20) (x- 2) = 0

Thus, x = -20/3 , x = 2

use ( half ) quadratic formula
a=3
b=14
c=-40

x1=2

x2=-20/3
