It is E because there was definitely a Chinese immigrant and irish immigrant influence in constructing the railroads in the West.

A Chinese immigrants.

The railroads in the east were built by the Irish, while the railroads in the west were built by the Chinese.

There were others in both cases, but they made up a majority of the workers.

Someone else said that, but for some reason chose answer E anyway.

E - The Union Pacific was mostly Irish and the Central Pacific was mostly Chinese so it has to be E ... although one could very easily argue that the percentage of African American and Mexican laborers was actually quite small, but they did exist.
