First, give it to a few people you trust for their honest opinions.

Then revise it and edit it.

Do this at least once, but probably more than once.

Once you think it's perfect, then you have to decide. Do you want to do this for real? If you want the real deal, then ignore all the self-publishing, POD, ebook crap and do it for real. Write a query letter, post the query letter on writers.net for critique, and once you have the letter down perfect then you can start researching agents and sending your query to agents.

Once you land an agent, they deal with the editors/publishers.

Good luck.

Have like a friend (to get the opinion of someone on the street), an English student, etc read it so that you can get an opinion of it an a preliminary edit.

Find an agent! A good one...contact a society...try to meet one in person if possible...

Get it reviewed by some friends who aren't afraid to be honest with you. Do some honest editing, treat the stuff that just plain isn't working like you would treat weeds in your garden. Just out of curiosity, what's it about?

You need an editor, and an agent.
Good luck!
