Does anyone know where I might find a template for a letter from a boss to an employee informing them that they are being fired? Please help!

I can't "say it to their face" pyledrvr, u nitwit, because I'm not the one firing them, my boss is. And everything has to be very legal. Donald Trump is only firing people from an interview, not from any kind of secure, permanent position.

Oh c'mon people. get with the rogramme! I work for a legitmate company, not a family business, and two employees were found to be leaking confidential information so my bosses want them to be fired. one of them has asked me to research various Letters of Termination to make sure theirs are okay.

If you use Microsoft Office, type in Termination Letter in your online search option.

You could also google Termination Letter Template and that should give you what you need.

Do you have Microsoft Word? If so there are free templates right inside of Word. You can choose between business letter templates (which sounds like what you are looking for) and other templates. It displays a mock letter and you can make any necessary changes to it just by typing over the words loaded into the document.

Best to do so face to face, or at minimum, over the phone. To send a letter would be rude, tacky and reflect poorly on your company to do so by a letter.

Additionally, a poorly written letter could be used against you later in an unemployment or Civil case.
