The reason I like Bush is that he doesn't really give a damn if people will see him as a great president, he believes in what he is doing, and he thinks that someday, when it is all revealed, maybe then people will realize he wasn't quite as bad as his critics would have us believe.
He doesn't lead through opinion polls or ratings. Do you think George Washington would have changed his mind about what he felt was right for his country and countrymen if there were opinion polls and the level of scrutiny a modern president faces now?
Clinton never took a decisive stand on anything, he was put in power by the Chinese, he never served his country, while taking the benefits from the USN just as he had served, he owes the taxpayers for that, he disgraced our country, we were the laughing stock of NATO and I had to sit there and hear jokes about my flag being stained with a sticky substance. The only damned good thing Clinton did was reform welfare, and if anything, the stance he took on that was a more "conservative" agenda than anything else.
While Clinton was in power we let our enemies grow and gather and attack us twice on our soil, as far as I am concerned 911 was really Clinton's fault, not Bush's, he wasn't in the office long enough to have an impact yet. Clinton had two opportunities to kill Bin Laden, and balked. BUSH IS NO BALKER, hate him if you want, but he is no C--T!

Ok, once again I will say this. Unlike you Lemmings us Democrats actually can think for ourselves. We don't have to follow the one party to make us whole inside unlike you people. If Bush switched I would probably hate him more to answer you question.

Well, I agree with your question in principle if you are asserting that people are generally blinded by their political views. But, it goes both ways.

That would be a start. But to upgrade his approval ratings he would have to get "Lewinskied" in the oval office (and get caught)..........then he'd be hailed as a great leader..........
