President is an individual person to speak on be half of the countries, make laws, need to supervise the politician who will be responsible to hold the law and not to break the law.
He or she must have a good image to be respected by the public.

So what is your alternative? If America had no President, who would be held ultimately responsible for domestic and international issues. Every country has an individual with the ultimate responsibility for his country. If you want a monarchy rather than a republic, Britain has tried that and it doesn't work.

Makes you wonder why one needs a President when all he does is mess up the country, bankrupt the reserves, give impassioned speeches others write for him and helped foreigners while leaving Americans in the lurch.
