What do I need to start a pub singing carreer?

I reckon I have a good voice and can learn a few songs but what equipment and licenses do I need to start singing at pubs and weddings etc...

depends what you're playing but at least:

a mic (Shure SM58 is a great vocal mic for about £70)
a PA system
instruments (obviously)

You don't need any licence, thats up to the premises to have the licence.
(technically you should pay royalties if you perform cover songs but I don't think I know of anyone who does)

properly you should do not forget that its very not likely for you to commence off as a large vast call. you should paintings your way up.
